Stanley Robinson is Miracles Basketball Player of the Week!
This week, we have selected Stanley Robinson as Player of the Week. This week, Robinson was awarded the title of NBL Canada's Player of the Week, and in recognition of this accomplishment we are excited to celebrate him and his accomplishments!
Standing at 6'9", Stanley is an Alabama native who played at the University of Connecticut, and was later drafted as the 59th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic. He then played in the NBA-D League in the 2010-2011 season with the Iowa Energy. The Miracles are thrilled to have such an accomplished player on our team this year, and have been continously impressed by his performance on the court so far this season. So far this season he has averaged 15.8 points per game, and 8.6 rebounds. This record is not surprising based on his impressive resume, and it is apparent that he is quickly becoming a fan favourite.
Stanley has become visible in the Greater Moncton Community already, having made several appearances with the team. Most recently, he visited Claude D. Taylor school as a part of the Moncton Miracles School Pride program where he had the chance to interact with the young students. As a father to 3 children, this opportunity was a highlight for Stanley who looks forward to the rest of the season with Miracles Basketball
