Miracles Win Second Straight At Home

The Moncton Miracles beat the Saint John Mill Rats with a final score of 121-102 in front of 1185 Fans.

 

Stanley Robinson put the first two points on the board for the Miracles and started his team with a hot hand. Moncton would control the scoreboard for the first twelve minutes of play and ended with a 19-16 lead over Saint John.  

 

The Mill Rats would make a push and take a two-point lead for a minute of play; the Miracles would prove to be too much in the end. Daquan Brooks would once again hit a three to beat the buzzer and secure Moncton with a 63-53 lead going into halftime.

 

Moncton would shoot the lights out throughout the third quarter and would lead by as much as 31 points over Saint John. The Miracles outscored the Mill Rats 39 to 20 and would break the 100 mark early on. At the end of the third quarter Moncton was holding on to a 102-73 lead.

 

The fourth quarter would continue to be controlled by the Miracles who showed no signs of giving this one to their 506 rivals. Moncton had control of the game for 46:43 minutes of play.

 

Stanley Robinson led the way for the Miracles with a solid double-double with 30 points and 10 rebounds. Trayvon Lathan added in with 20 points and 9 rebounds, while Tyler Murray had 19. Shawn VanZant chipped in with a near double-double of his own with 12 points and 9 assists.

 

The Miracles shot 55% from the floor while dominating the boards – outrebounding the Mill Rats 50-36.

 

Anthony Anderson was the force for the Mill Rats with 21 points. Kenny Jones netted 17 for the visiting Saint John squad.

 

The Miracles next home game is scheduled for Saturday, December 20th against the Island Storm. Tip-off is 7pm at the Moncton Coliseum. The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra will be performing and you definitely do not want to miss it.
