Miracles sign Ryan Smith and Elliott Berry
The Moncton Miracles are pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Smith and Elliott Berry to their roster.
Ryan Smith, a 6’3” small forward, is from Dalhousie, NB and played for the University of New Brunswick. In his senior year at UNB, he averaged 7.9 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game.
"I'm looking forward to continuing my playing career and joining the Miracles organization. A goal of mine is to join the team to help them become a playoff contender. It is very special to me to have the opportunity to play professional basketball in my home province. I love the city of Moncton and its basketball fan base. They deserve a team that puts out a great effort every night and I am very much hopeful to be a part of that." said Smith.
Elliott Berry, is a 6’7” power forward out of University of California, Riverside. While there, he averaged 5.8 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game. Before playing at UC Riverside, he played at Pasadena City College where he was named First-Team All-League and ranked 23rd in the country as an overall JC Player.
"I'm very excited to be a part of the Moncton Miracles organization. This is truly a blessing. I look forward to being a part of the team, becoming a great asset and most importantly bringing the city of Moncton a championship." said Berry.
Both Smith and Berry will join the Miracles for training camp in early December. The league will begin the regular season on December 26.
