Released: February 22, 2016

PRESS RELEASE

February 22, 2016

The Miracles are excited to welcome back the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra (NBYO) on February 25 at our home game against the Saint John Mill Rats. Over 80 kids from the NBYO will be performing at this game.

The mission of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra is to inspire excellence among children and youth through the learning and performance of orchestral music. The NBYO has three main goals and objectives. One is to develop an outstanding provincial youth orchestra program. Another is to increase awareness and appreciation for orchestral music in New Brunswick. Finally, the NBYO has a goal to expand participation in orchestral music in New Brunswick. In order to do this, the Board of Directors has chosen to adopt and develop the Sistema NB program. Introduced in 2009, Sistema NB is an after-school orchestral music program now operating 4 Sistema NB Centers in the province and engaging more than 600 children and multiple orchestras.

Join us on February 25 at 7pm when we welcome the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra and host the Saint John Mill Rats at the Moncton Coliseum. For tickets, please go to the Moncton Coliseum Box Office or go online to tickets.moncton.ca
